Letter from the mayor of Danbury, Mark D Boughton.

Dear Mr. Richardson:

The City of Danbury has a magnificent new addition to Elmwood Park thanks to your brilliant artwork and vision! The Danbury 9-11 Memorial sculpture is attracting visitors night and day since you and I unveiled the stunning glass tower on September, 11, 2004. I am pleased to hear a steady stream of compliments about the 9-11 Memorial from our residents and 9-11 families.

Danbury's Elmwood Park dates back to the early years of our community in the late 1600's. Surrounding buildings from the 18th Century on this part of Main Street provide a beautiful and historical backdrop to the 9-11 Memorial. We are very pleased how the Beau Arts and Victorian architecture of the neighborhood is complimented by your sculpture.

The Danbury 9-11 Memorial is the largest commissioned art expenditure by our community in generations. Your vision, professionalism and on-time delivery in a short project timeline is greatly appreciated. I wish all of our city projects would see completion as smoothly and quickly as we experienced with you.

Best wishes for continued success!

Sincerely yours,

Mark D. Boughton
Mayor
